Getting Started with PyLadiesCon
Who needs an account?
If you're interested in volunteering, speaking or sponsoring the conference, you'll need an account.
If you're part of the PyLadiesCon Core team, you'll also need to create an account. This will allow you to access the Django admin area and other features.
If you're a speaker, you need an account too. It is the same account you would use to volunteer, so if you volunteered with us in a previous year you already have one. You can create it yourself when you propose a session, or, if we invite you, accepting the invitation creates it for you. See the speaker guide for both routes.
If you're a conference attendee, you don't need to create an account. (TBD)
Sign up for an account
To volunteer, sponsor or propose a session, you'll first need to create an account. (If we invited you to speak, you can skip this: accepting the invitation creates your account.)
- Go to the Sign up page
- Choose a username, enter your email address, and your password.
Verify your account
After signing up, you'll receive an email with a verification code. Enter this code on the sign up page to verify your account.
Changing your email address
You can add more than one email address to your account. We will be sending emails to your primary account.
To change an email address, add a new one to your account, and then set it as the primary email address.
We will only send email to your secondary email if we've been unable to contact you in your primary email address.
